Inter lose Thuram in Inter-Fiorentina

It has been just four days since the last time the two teams played against each other in Serie A. A scheduling irregularity meant that the games were played back-to-back.

Thuram had been hoping to add to his impressive goalscoring tally in a revenge match against Raffaele Palladinoi’s side, but his evening lasted just over 25 minutes before he needed to be replaced.

The exact nature of the Frenchman’s injury has not yet been specified, but he had been limping for a few minutes before being replaced by Marko Arnautovic.

There was another Inter substitution at the interval, as Piotr Zielinski came on to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.
