Tottenham Hotspur are in contact with AC Milan regarding a possible deal for Aston Villa target Fikayo Tomori, but it is suggested it would be ‘complicated’.
Despite a rampant injury crisis sweeping through Tottenham, the club have only added goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky to the ranks so far.
Ange Postecoglou wants to add a defender to their squad to give option and depth to his backline, with options being explored.
Tottenham have a longstanding interest in former Chelsea star Tomori, who currently plays for Italian giants AC Milan.
The 27-year-old centre-back is also on Aston Villa’s list of targets, with Unai Emery desperate to bring in a centre-back amid Diego Carlos’ exit.
Now, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Tottenham have taken the first steps to establish contact with AC Milan for Tomori.
Tomori has been a bit part player for AC Milan this season and the player wants to leave to secure regular game time.
However, despite that, it is claimed that a deal would be ‘complicated’.
It is unclear whether AC Milan will be willing to part ways with the defender in the ongoing window.
Now with deadline day approaching, Tottenham will have to move quickly to seal a deal if possible.
