Sevilla are in a strange situation this season. They don’t have the momentum or form to make a real charge for the top half of the table, but they are still getting enough results so that relegation shouldn’t be a real threat.

Garcia Pimienta will be looking to give his squad a bit of a refresh in January, and two of his players will likely be making an exit in the winter window so that this can happen.

As per Relevo, Valentín Barco, who is currently on loan from Brighton, is likely to be recalled from his loan and sent out to Porto instead. This comes as he has asked not to be included in the Sevilla matchday squad to face Almería.

Kelechi Iheanacho is the other player set to make his departure, as the Nigerian forward hasn’t been at the levels expected of him since he made the move from Leicester City in the summer.

All three of the 28-year-old’s goals have come in the Copa del Rey against weaker teams, and the forward has failed to find the back of the net in his nine La Liga appearances this season.
