An update on the wellbeing of sidelined Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Saturday come to the fore online.
And the news will no doubt be met with excitement on the part of all of a Blaugrana persuasion.
This comes amid confirmation that the winger’s recovery from injury is going as well as could have been hoped.
Attacker Lamine was for his part condemned to a spell on the treatment table earlier this month, after suffering a sprained ankle en route to Barcelona’s shock La Liga defeat at the hands of Leganés.
At the time, a return timeline somewhere in the region of three to four weeks was set for the Spanish international.
Lamine’s participation at the upcoming Spanish Super Cup, set to be kicked into gear on January 8th, was in turn thrown firmly up in the air.
If the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, though, then there appears to be cause for optimism when it comes to the 17-year-old’s situation.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The Catalan club are now optimistic that he will be able to participate in the competition and that he will be available for the first match against Athletic, which will take place on Wednesday 8 January in Saudi Arabia.’
