Update provided on Barcelona star after being stretchered out of Las Palmas meeting | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has come to the fore online.

This comes after the Spanish international set alarm bells ringing across the Barcelona fanbase a short time ago.

Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Las Palmas in Catalunya’s capital.

The aforementioned Alejandro Balde was for his part in from the off in the clash, taking his place on the left side of Barca’s backline.

Just beyond the 20-minute mark, though, the 21-year-old was hauled off, amid concerning scenes.

After a nasty collision with former Blaugrana starlet Sandro Ramírez, Balde went to ground, in evident distress.

From here, the defender was seen to by the hosts’ medical staff, struggling to return to his feet, before ultimately being loaded onto a stretchered and taken straight down the Montjuïc tunnel.

In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of relief for all of a Barcelona persuasion to learn that Balde is for his part recovering well.

As per a report from Helena Condis of COPE:

‘Balde has recovered from the blow to the trachea. They were scared at first but he is fine, fully recovered.’
