Milan have made Santiago Gimenez their priority on the mercato and according to a report, they will table a new and improved offer in the coming hours. Furthermore, Feyenoord appear to be more open to a sale now.
It’s not exactly a secret that Milan need a striker to bolster their squad after what has been a tough start to the season. As such, having already followed him for quite some time, the Rossoneri have decided to try to sign Gimenez earlier than first planned.
According to Antonio Vitiello, after the initial offer of almost €30m including bonuses, Milan will table an improved offer in ‘the next few hours’. Furthermore, Gimenez’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has carried out important work in the Netherlands, close to convincing Feyenoord to consider a sale this month.
There is already a general agreement with the player on the salary and thanks to the work of the agent, there might just be enough room to close the deal. This is obviously great news for Milan but the fact remains that they need to come up a lot with their offer.
Corriere della Sera also added earlier today that the price tag could come down after the deciding Champions League clash next week.
