This comes after club icon Jesús Navas bid an emotional final farewell to the The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán faithful.

Sevilla marked their return to action earlier today, welcoming Celta Vigo to Andalusia for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the Nervionenses emerged on the right side of a hard-fought 1-0 result, owing to a solitary goal on the part of Manu Bueno.

Upon the full-time whistle bringing a close to proceedings at the Sánchez Pizjuán, however, attention was quickly diverted away from the outcome, and towards the aforementioned Jesús Navas.

Legendary wide-man Navas of course recently announced his decision to imminently hang up his boots, owing to a chronic hip issue.

The Spanish veteran’s very last home fixture in Sevilla colours therefore came this evening, against Celta.

In the game’s aftermath, Navas, in turn, embarked on an emotion-filled lap of the stadium, to soak in the applause of the adoring Sevilla faithful one last time:
