La Liga giants Real Madrid saw their blushes spared courtesy of a pair of wonder goals during the club’s meeting with Celta Vigo this evening.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops of course marked their return to action a short time ago.
With sights on a bounce-back result following last weekend’s humiliation at the hands of Barcelona, Real welcomed the aforementioned Celta Vigo to Spain’s capital, for a Copa del Rey Last-16 clash.
And, when all was said and done, bounce back is precisely what Los Blancos managed.
This, however, only came after the reigning La Liga champions surrendered a two-goal advantage.
After strikes on the part of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. appeared to have put Real out of sight, Celta pair Jonathan Bamba and Marcos Alonso kept alive hopes of a shock comeback in sending the fixture to extra-time.
From here, though, individual brilliance made the difference…
First, substitute Endrick drove home a wonderful left-footed strike from the edge of the Celta penalty area:

And there was even time for Endrick to add some gloss to the scoreline courtesy of a backheeled finish late on, as Real Madrid marched on to a place in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
