We fear nobody and Newcastle United WILL challenge for the title | OneFootball

Over the course of the last year or so, I have penned a few Newcastle United articles on The Mag.

Mostly positive, or reminiscing about better times.

Some Newcastle United fans were seemingly unaware of the enormity of finishing seventh with a hugely depleted squad; in fact, they didn’t appreciate what a gargantuan effort it was to finish that high up with a skeleton squad.

At some stages, we had three goalkeepers on the bench and youngsters, to make up the numbers.

I stated then and ever since, that our squad was as good as anyone else’s, but injuries decimated our play and subsequently, Newcastle United needed time to rebuild and re-introduce players back into the fold.

Man City have fallen away this season, some will claim it’s because they miss Rodri – ONE player.

Imagine if they lost their main striker and their best centre-back as we did, not to mention our entire first team at one time or another?

Also, leaders Liverpool, do any of you think they wouldn’t miss Salah, VVD, then fall off the pace?

Some on The Mag comments section left disappointing and derogatory replies when I said that Newcastle United were/are top four at least this season, comments such as ‘I’ll have whatever you’re on’, and ‘if I was drinking’ etc.

Some asserted that we were ‘miles’ behind other Premier League squads, which I dismissed then, as I do now.

However, now perhaps some might have a different view, especially after the latest Premier League form table has us at the top.

Yes, AT THE TOP!

We are evidently not miles behind anyone, we are currently the best team in the league.

I said it in the summer, we are top four at least, and we will challenge for the title.
