Eintracht are fully focused on the home game against Stuttgart and eager to take all three points.
Ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt hosting VfB Stuttgart at Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday evening for their Bundesliga Matchday 27 assignment. Head coach Dino Toppmöller spoke about...
… personnel: “Theate is available again tomorrow and pushing for the starting XI. Højlund, Skhiri and Larsson have taken full part in training. Matanovic has trained but isn’t an option for tomorrow yet. Trapp has trained on his own this week, too – we’re gradually stepping up his programme. Wahi (knee) is out.” … the state of play: “I’m expecting a great game of football featuring two teams who like to go forward. There were five goals in the reverse fixture, and it could have been even more. Both teams want to go on the front foot and score goals, and both have really strong squads. There’s so much quality in both teams that any of the attacking players can create something special with a dribble, a pass or a moment of individual brilliance. Everything’s in place for a brilliant match on Saturday evening. We’ll need to be clinical, allow them as little as possible and stay compact. It’s almost impossible to prevent such a strong attacking team from creating anything, though.”
… Hugo Ekitiké: “I saw Hugo Hekitike’s hat-trick for the U21s – it was a great performance. He’s a player with enormous potential.”
… Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade: “Woltemade is a great player. I like the way he plays football, but Stuttgart have a lot of qualify players. We’re going to have to defend as a team.”
… the final few games of the season: “When you see how the boys are with each other every day, how ambitious they are, you don’t need to sit them all down in a meeting to tell them what’s at stake over the coming weeks. Everyone is professional enough to know what’s what. We’re determined to beat Stuttgart on Saturday. It’ll be tough but we’ve got the quality to do so and want to tackle it together with our fans.”
