Club Brugge travel to Glasgow on Wednesday night to face Celtic full of confidence. The defending Belgian Champions are coming into a key Champions League clash off the back of a 7-0 thumping of Sint Truiden at home. Greek international Christos Tzolis helped himself to four goals on Saturday afternoon, bringing his total to the season eight. The former Norwich man joined the side from Bundesliga 2 club Fortuna Düsseldorf in the summer, having scored 24 goals in 37 games last campaign.
Club also won their most recent European fixture with a well deserved 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, who had been unbeaten in the competition so far. The side sit just one point behind Celtic who have won two, drawn one and lost one of their opening four. Both sides will likely see this clash a key one in terms of making it to the next round.
Celtic will have to watch out for the likes of Hans Vanaken, Tzolis and Maxim De Cuyper. All three have been in excellent form this season, with Vanaken already closing in on last seasons numbers. The veteran midfielder has six goals and five assists in 21 games. He has registered double digits for goals in every season since 2010/2011.
At the back, youngsters Joaquin Seys and Joel Ordonez have also impressed alongside the experienced Brandon Mechele. In goal will be the experienced Simon Mignolet, who has kept five clean sheets in the league this season, with two in Europe. With games against Sporting CP, Juventus and Manchester City to come, this clash with Celtic is the best chance of three points that Club Brugge have from their remaining fixtures.
