The Reds have made easy work of the League Phase

Liverpool have sailed through the Champions League thus far to book their place in the knockout stage.

In the new league phase format, the top eight teams progress straight through to the last-16 and avoid an extra two-legged knockout tie.

Liverpool lost to PSV in their final group game but still finished top.

It’s been a smooth ride for the Reds and Arne Slot, who began with a 3-1 win away at AC Milan in September and never looked back. They are now considered among the favourites to win the competition.

Who can Liverpool face in Champions League last-16?

The last-16 draw will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025. The first leg of those ties will be played on either March 4 or March 5, with the return fixtures a week later.

As a result of finishing first in the league phase, Liverpool will either face the winners of the knockout phase play-off between the 15ht and 16th seeds, or the 17th and 18th seeds.

That will be confirmed after the knockout phase play-off draw on Friday January 31, 2025.
