Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad came together for a Christmas lunch on Friday afternoon.

One altogether notable absentee from the sit-down, however, was summer arrival and star frontman Kylian Mbappé.

That’s according to Relevo, who have this evening provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

As has become annual tradition, Real’s football team and basketball team came together earlier today, to exchange pleasantries and enjoy a meal alongside one another ahead of the Christmas break.

All but one member of the former’s squad was present, in the form of Kylian Mbappé.

Amid what has proven a tumultuous start to life for the Frenchman in La Liga to date, chatter surrounding a potential problem between Mbappé and his teammates in turn quickly began to spread online.

As confirmed by the aforementioned Relevo, however, no such issue in fact exists.

Instead, the 25-year-old, sidelined at present owing to a muscular injury, was unable to attend the meal as a result of a sudden bout of fever.
