Xavi Hernandez shares endearing message for Barcelona following their Copa del Rey triumph | OneFootball

FC Barcelona has always been regarded as a club that treats its players like family. For the Catalan giants, connections and loyalty are some of the most important things in the world. Due to that endearing culture, Barcelona always seems to remain connected to its former legends.

From days of nostalgia to the present, Barça has always remained true to their fundamental principles. Thanks to that, the club continues to invite praise and endearing words from former players and coaches whenever they manage to do something notable.

Understandably, there are very few occasions in club football that can be deemed to be more notable than an El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid, and even more so if the clash is over a final. For both teams, the recent Copa del Rey final between them held a lot of weight, but it was Hansi Flick’s team that managed to emerge victorious.

Following the victory, however, a certain Barcelona icon made sure to congratulate his team. Xavi Hernandez, a former legend for Barça both on the field as a player and away from it as a manager, had some endearing words to share on social media following the team’s victory as highlighted by MARCA:

“No matter what they say, we are the best club in the world. Long live Barça, ALWAYS.”

A short message from Xavi Hernandez, but a powerful one nonetheless. Many people believe that the creation of this current team that is delivering such performances on the biggest of stages would not have been possible without Flick’s predecessor.

During his time as the team’s coach, he led them to a La Liga title and a Spanish Super Cup title as well. Coincidentally, his side’s victory in the Spanish Super Cup final came against Real Madrid as well, just like the one Hansi Flick managed this season.

Fortunately, the German coach is doing the best he can with this team and Xavi Hernandez already seems to have given him his blessing as well previously. Now, with some crucial games coming up ahead, Barcelona need to recover well and turn their focus towards the remaining titles.
