Last October, reports suggested that Paris Saint-Germain had made River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono their top transfer target. If the Ligue 1 club moves forward with the deal, they may have one less competitor in the race for the Argentine teenager.
Mastantuono’s release clause is currently set at €40 million but could rise to €45 million in the final 10 days of the transfer window. While PSG remain interested, Diario AS journalist Eduardo Burgos reports that Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on him.
Other top European clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea, are also monitoring Mastantuono. ESPN Argentina adds that Manchester United are especially keen on signing him and are preparing a bid for January.

Calciomercato reports that AC Milan admires the Argentine talent, but the club closest to signing Mastantuono is Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have a verbal agreement with the player and have been negotiating with River Plate for some time, looking to secure the deal before other clubs can step in.
While Milan continues to monitor the situation, they remain far behind Real Madrid, which was the first to evaluate the cost and feasibility of the transfer. Mastantuono turns 18 in mid-August, and from that point, he could make the move to Europe at any time.
