Carlos Augusto feels that facing Barcelona will be “tough” but that Inter Milan “have come up against similar opposition.”
The Brazilian spoke in a press conference after the Nerazzurri’s Serie A loss to Roma, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter Milan face Barcelona in the Champions League semifinals this week.
Wednesday will be the first leg of the massive two-legged tie.
Inter will know just how tough it will be.
The Nerazzurri are in the midst of their worst run of form of the entire season. At the worst possible time.
Inter have lost three straight matches going into the tie against Barcelona.
However, Inter aren’t in the Champions League semifinals by coincidence. They have beaten the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich along the way.

“We have experienced players who have won a lot of trophies.”
“We have to look at the mistakes we’ve made in these matches. But the group is always up to it.”
Augusto added that “Wednesday will be an important match, and we’ll have to do our best.”
The Inter wingback admitted that “we lacked mental clarity to capitalize on our chances” in this evening’s match.
“They took advantage of theirs.”
“I don’t want to look for excuses. It’s a loss that hurts, but there’s another match on Wednesday.”
