Leeds United are eyeing a move for Everton striker Beto as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side are in the market for a proven goal-scorer, and the Guine-Bissau forward has emerged as a serious target.
Beto signed for Everton from Udinese in 2023 for just over £25 million. He had a slow start to life in England and was even linked with a move away during the January window.
However, his form picked up under David Moyes after the former West Ham boss stepped in, and he managed to turn things around with a stronger second half of the season.
With Leeds reportedly working with a transfer budget north of £100 million, they're expected to spend big in key areas. A new striker is high on the list, and Beto is understood to be one of their preferred targets.
The Toffees, meanwhile, are expected to offload a few players this summer, with changes on the cards at Goodison Park. That’s opened the door for a potential deal, though it’s still early days.
