Since Martin Zubimendi decided to remain at his boyhood club, Real Sociedad, instead of joining Liverpool this summer, a lot has changed.
Zubimendi was promised a new contract that hasn’t yet materialised and now Real Sociedad’s director of football, Roberto Olabe, has announced he will be stepping down from his post.
This leaves Zubimendi in a precarious position and his future at Real Sociedad could once again be called into question.

Salah, Virgil and Trent are all out of contract in the summer, and negotiations are reportedly ongoing to secure the future of the trio.
Negotiations for Alexander-Arnold in particular are set to heat up over this international break as Liverpool present their latest contract offer.
According to a report from TBR Football, Liverpool have put in front of Trent a wage comparable to Salah’s, one that would make him the highest-earning English player in the Premier League.

Liverpool have the go-ahead to complete a deal that could see arguably the world’s two best players right now combine. The Reds will find this one difficult to resist.
Bild reports that Omar Marmoush wants a move to Liverpool. The Egyptian is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025, having been linked with a transfer all year long.
Marmoush is in extraordinary form this season, too. He’s scored 11 goals in 10 Bundesliga fixtures - a phenomenal rate and one that’s even more phenomenal when you consider he also has seven assists. In all competitions, he’s managed 14 goals and 10 assists.

In an exclusive report for Football Transfers, Steve Kay has revealed that Pep Guardiola has asked his club to splash out on two new defenders next summer.
The Spaniard’s Man City side are currently going through an extremely poor run of form, losing four games on the bounce, and now it appears that he believes the answer could be a player Liverpool sold less than six months ago.
The Football Transfers report claims that the two defenders sought by Guardiola are Brentford’s Sepp van den Berg and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.
