The Victor Osimhen saga saw Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain linked to the Nigerian throughout this past summer transfer window. However, with the striker rediscovering his 2022-23 form, there could be more interest in the Napoli loanee in 2025.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan after a permanent move from Napoli didn’t materialize. The 25-year-old has recorded eight goals and registered four assists in nine appearances for the Turkish giants this season.
As a result, Galatasaray are attempting to keep the player permanently. According to Turkish outlet Sozcu, the club are reportedly ready to offer £42 million to secure his signature.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that Osimhen’s release clause will be around €80 million in January, but it’s expected to drop to approximately €70 million next summer.

A few days ago, The Chronicle reported that Newcastle are expected to be given the opportunity to sign the player when he looks for a new club at the end of the season.
Osimhen’s representatives believe Newcastle are one of several Premier League clubs that could be interested in making a move for their client.
Football Insider reported on Saturday, citing sources, that the Magpies won’t be keen on pursuing Osimhen. The information reveals that despite initial interest from the Magpies, a deal looks very unlikely, with multiple issues calling into question the possible move.
Osimhen currently earns £8.3 million annually from his Napoli contract, about £160,000 weekly. However, he will likely ask for more when he leaves the club.
As a result, the Magpies could face financial challenges, especially since Anthony Gordon’s recent contract extension has made him their highest-paid player at £140,000 per week.
