Manchester United are preparing to part ways with Marcus Rashford, while Tyrell Malacia is set to accompany him towards the exit door.

After weeks of speculations, it appears that the English striker has finally found his next destination. He has been linked with the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona in recent weeks, but a deal never materialised. However, Aston Villa are seemingly the ones who will offer the player an escape rope from his Carrington exile.

In recent hours, the Villains have suddenly emerged as a plausible destination for the troubled 27-year-old star who has been omitted from Ruben Amorim’s plans over the last 45 days or so. The Champions League boys have been making great strides as they look to finalise the operation before Monday’s deadline.

According to the Daily Mail, Rashford has bid his Man Utd teammates farewell before leaving Carrington after having agreed personal terms with Aston Villa. Nevertheless, the England international isn’t the only one to wave Amorim’s men goodbye, as Malacia did likewise ahead of his expected transfer to Benfica.

The 25-year-old returned from a long injury layoff in recent months, but is still far from his best physical condition. Moreover, Patrick Dorrgu’s arrival and Luke Shaw’s return from injury will render him surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Therefore, United have been working to send the Dutchman out on loan so he can regain his optimal physical condition while earning regular playing time. The Premier League giants have seemingly struck an agreement with Benfica who would be happy to host the 25-year-old until the end of the season.

Malacia’s contract with the Red Devils is valid until June 2026, but it includes an option for another year.
