FC Bayern celebrated a 4-0 win at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday night, registering their 10th consecutive Bundesliga home success. Thanks to goals from Michael Olise (45'+2), Hiroki Ito (61'), Jamal Musiala (83') and Serge Gnabry (90'+2), the Reds maintained their eight-point lead over Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the top of the table. "We just played very well today, we had our chances," said head coach Vincent Kompany after the final whistle, adding: "The effort, the enthusiasm – it was all there." Thomas Müller also praised the performance of the German record champions: "We deserved to win and played with high intensity." fcbayern.com has compiled the post-match reaction.

The reaction to the Frankfurt match

Max Eberl (board member for sport): "There's been a lot of noise around us over the last week, but we've stayed calm and focused on our goal: beating the third-placed team in the Bundesliga at home. We did that. We can only influence what we do, what we say, how we act. It's hard to control the outside noise at Bayern Munich. We stick to our path, we believe in this team 100 percent. February has been a challenging month, which we've ended with impressive results – and today with an impressive performance. That's what we're concentrating on."

Vincent Kompany praised the vigour shown by his team in the home win against Eintracht.

Vincent Kompany: "We've always stayed calm and remain so now. The extra day helped us – the two extra training days, the rest – you could see that straight away today. It's vital that we pick up results, which we did today exactly how we wanted. We just played very well today, we had our chances. The effort, the enthusiasm – it was all there. Our aim is always to bring that onto the pitch. And now we go calmly into the next game, where we want to win again."

Thomas Müller returned to the German record champions' starting line-up for the home match against Eintracht Frankfurt and impressed.

Thomas Müller: "Obviously a win of this manner is a lot more fun. We sense how games are going and how it feels. At this stage of the season, it's only the results that count. But of course, you also want to go home and say: 'Wow, today we were really good.' We deserved to win and played with high intensity."

The reaction from the Frankfurt camp

Dino Toppmöller (coach): "Unfortunately we were a bit too naive today. We wanted to be brave and deliberately play out from the back, using the goalkeeper too. But with that you have to be careful that bravery doesn't cross over into naivety. The second and third goals are particularly annoying because they came about from simple misplaced passes – one led to a corner, with the other we lost the ball in build-up. When you give Bayern opportunities like that, it just happens."

Kevin Trapp (goalkeeper): "It went too far at the end – yes we deserved to lose, but not so clearly. We played really well in periods, which obviously sounds strange after a 4-0 defeat, but we were brave and tried a lot. In the end it's a convincing defeat and that hurts. It wasn't all bad but Bayern have a quality that you can't always defend against, and they ruthlessly exploit every opportunity. It's clear that Bayern are an absolutely top team, the benchmark."

Ansgar Knauff (midfielder): "We knew it was going to be a difficult away match against, in my view, the best team in Germany. We were aware we wouldn't get many chances in attack. We had a good opportunity right at the start but couldn't take it. We then concede the first goal just before half-time, an unfortunate time. We had a chance to equalise straight after the break but that also went begging. If you want to get anything there, you have to take one of those opportunities – we failed to do that today. In the end, Bayern's brutal quality prevailed."
