There were a quartet of notable absentees from the latest training session held by La Liga outfit Girona on Monday.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya.
Míchel’s squad reported back to base over the weekend, following a brief break for the Christmas period.
Earlier today, the Blanquivermells, in turn, were put through their paces, amid ongoing preparations for an upcoming La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
As alluded to above, though, amid as much, four players missed out.
They came in the form of Viktor Tsygankov, Portu, Yaser Asprilla and Iván Martín.
Both Tsygankov and Portu were put through individualised sessions by the Girona coaching staff, owing to ongoing respective fitness problems.
Attacker Asprilla was absent having yet to return from a recent trip to his home country of Colombia, whilst midfielder Martín has not yet been given the green light for competitive action amid a bout of illness.
