Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab are reportedly keen on signing Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
Doucoure has played a key role for the Toffees this season, featuring in several positions including central midfield, defensive midfield and attacking midfield.
He has bagged three goals and one assist across all competitions. Doucoure signed a new contract with Everton in 2023, which expires this summer.
With his deal expiring, interest in Doucoure has increased from clubs outside England.
Al-Shabab have already started discussions and made an initial salary offer worth around €3.6 million.
However, Doucoure is believed to be holding out for a higher package before making any final decision on his future.
The SPL has experienced rapid growth on the back of signing players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, N’Golo Kante and others.
Al-Shabab are hoping that their project and financial offer can convince Doucoure to join them in the Middle East.
Other clubs are monitoring his situation as he heads towards free agency this summer.
His contract status has made him an attractive option for clubs looking to bring in experience without paying a transfer fee.
Doucoure joined Everton from Watford in 2020 and has since become a vital part of their midfield set-up.
His energy, ball-carrying ability and strong defensive work have made him a key figure for Everton.
