Real Madrid’s teenage talent Arda Guler was in excellent form for Turkey at Euro 2024, proving to many that he can contribute to Los Blancos next season. The plan is for him to compete for minutes next season, after a year dominated by injuries and time on the bench.

Guler, 19, looked at one point as if he would be asked to leave on loan to continue his development, and despite Guler himself and Carlo Ancelotti declaring he would be back next season, various clubs continue to ask about a loan deal.

Italian giants AC Milan are the latest, as per OK Diario, who say that the Rossoneri would like to repeat a similar form of deal with Guler as they did Brahim Diaz, loaning him for two years. Milan also had a €22m buy option, with Los Blancos retaining a €27m buyback clause, but in the end neither were activated, with Brahim returning to the club. All the same, Los Blancos have no intention of Guler heading anywhere currently.

Guler will face strong competition for minutes again next season, but if he continues to exhibit the form he has in recent months, then he will indeed compete for them. With Endrick Felipe and Kylian Mbappe arriving, it seems likely Rodrygo Goes and Brahim start ahead of Guler in the pecking order for Ancelotti, but Guler has been both impressive and effective so far in Spain.
