Recently, Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported the latest regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s goalkeeping position heading into the summer transfer window later this year.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has a contract until 2026 and while his performances have improved, the report from Tavolieri revealed that PSG have AC Milan standout Mike Maignan in their sight as a potential replacement for the Italian shot-stopper.

Between now and the summer, PSG will need to make a call on Donnarumma on whether he’s the man between the pipes going forward with Luis Enrique.

The UEFA Champions League matches will likely be the test and if he fails to impress, it makes it easy for the Parisians to move on. However, should they move on they have to scratch a target off their list.

Journalist Matteo Moretto reported on Sunday that Mike Maignan has reached a verbal agreement to extend his contract with AC Milan.

The club’s latest offer includes a deal through 2028, with an option for an additional year, worth €5 million plus bonuses. Maignan has already approved, and both sides are expected to meet in the coming weeks to finalize the agreement and sign the paperwork.

If the reporting is accurate, then PSG will need to turn its attention to another French goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier.

L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi recently reported that PSG are interested in signing Chevalier this summer and have informed all parties involved, both directly and indirectly, though they haven’t started official negotiations yet.
