Mike Verweij is reporting that Ajax are interested in signing Dortmund youth striker Julian Rijkhoff. The 18-year-old left the Amsterdam sides youth academy back in January 2021 but is, according to reports, keen on a return to Ajax this winter. Ajax are willing to spend around €1m to bring Rijkhoff back to the Netherlands, with the deal set to include a number of bonuses and a resale percentage for the Bundesliga side. Dortmund are said to be considering the offer, although there is also reported interest from Barcelona for the youngster.

Rijkhoff has been capped at multiple youth levels by the Dutch national team and has been prolific for the Dortmund U19 side, where he has scored 59 goals in 77 games. This season alone he is seven goals and three assists in just eight games. His contract with the Bundesliga giants expires in 2026.

At the other end of the age scale, Ajax are also trying to bring Jordan Henderson to the Netherlands. His current side, Al-Ettifaq, are not keen on losing the England international who only joined them last summer.
