Ajax’s Brian Brobbey set for Premier League loan with West Ham | OneFootball

Ben Jacobs and Alex Crooks are reporting that West Ham have agreed terms with Ajax on a loan deal for Brian Brobbey. The forward is set to swap the Eredivisie for the Premier League until the end of the season. It is not clear yet whether a purchase option has been included in the deal. After a stellar 2023/2024 season, the 22-year-old has struggled for form this season. In 29 games for the club across all competitions he has scored three goals and grabbed five assists.

Brobbey came through the Ajax academy and made his senior debut back in the 2020/2021 season. He had a solid 2022/2023 season where he scored 14 goals and grabbed four assists in 44 games. He went up a level last season and had a real breakout year. In 43 games he scored an impressive 22 goals, with 18 of these coming in the Eredivisie. He also provided nine assists, eight of which came in the league.
