Olivier Deman is set to return to Belgium. As reported by Het Nieuwsblad, the former Cercle Brugge winger, who can also play as a full-back, is set to join Antwerp on loan. While Deman operated slightly further forward for Cercle, he is likely to fill in at left-back for the Great Old. This means that the departure of summer signing Ayrton Costa is even more likely, with Antwerp having now found a replacement.

The 24-year-old Deman left Cercle for the Bundesliga and Werder Bremen back in the summer of 2023. He played 29 games for the German side last season, scoring twice and grabbing one assist. So far this season the winger has had to settle for coming off the bench for just a few sparse minutes. He has made 11 appearances, nine in the league and two in the DFB Pokal. Deman came through the Cercle academy and played 93 games for the side, scoring four goals. He has also won three caps for the Belgian national team.
