It has already been a busy transfer window at AS Monaco. The Principality club have already welcomed Lamine Camara, George Ilenikhena, Jordan Teze, Christian Mawissa and Paris Brunner, however, they may not be done there.

Whilst another midfielder remains a priority following the departures of Youssouf Fofana, Mohamed Camara and Felix Lemarechal, Monaco could yet sign another centre-back. Guillermo Maripán was left out of Les Monégasques’ matchday squad to face Olympique Lyonnais last weekend. The Chilean was not injured and it was simply a decision taken by manager Adi Hütter to leave the experienced centre-back out.

Whilst it is far from certain that Maripán will leave Monaco before the closure of the transfer window in just four days, the possibility does nonetheless exist. Le Parisien understands that Paris Saint-Germain’s Danilo Pereira is being considered as a potential replacement.

Danilo has been the subject of interest from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia this summer, however, their interest has since cooled. PSG are looking to offload the centre-back, whose name came up in discussions at the Principality club last week.
