Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
Barcelona and clubs from Saudi Arabia are keen on signing the 28-year-old Colombian.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool will hold showdown talks with the player regarding his long term future in the summer. The report claims that Liverpool could consider selling the player so that they can raise funds for new signings.
There have been rumours that Liverpool could listen to offers for the player in the summer, and a few of around £60 million could be enough to sign him.
Diaz has been an important player for Liverpool this season with 15 goals and 8 assists in all competitions. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can replace him adequately.
The £55k-a-week Colombian is at the peak of his powers, and he could be open to trying out a new challenge. The opportunity to move to clubs like Barcelona could be attractive for him.
Meanwhile, the player can be quite inconsistent at times, and it is no surprise that Liverpool considers him an expendable option. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in an upgrade on the South American.

Liverpool have been overly dependent on Mohamed Salah this season, and they need to add more quality to the attacking unit. They need a dynamic forward who can slot anywhere across the front three and they should look to invest in a reliable center forward as well.
Players like Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota are clearly not good enough to start for Liverpool, and it remains to be seen whether they can address the weaknesses in their attacking unit.
Meanwhile, Diaz would be a quality addition for clubs like Barcelona if they can get the deal done. They could use more quality in the wide areas and the South American will add pace, flair and unpredictability to the side. He has proven himself in the Premier League and he has the attributes to succeed in Spain as well.
Liverpool are expected to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer this summer, and they cannot afford to get rid of multiple key players in one window. It will be interesting to see what they decide in the summer.
