Aston Villa could sell Jhon Duran in the January transfer window.
That is according to The Athletic, which has reported how much Villa are looking for in transfer fees for Duran.
It has been reported that West Ham United made a bid of £57 million for the Colombia international striker last week.
Villa turned it down. Although the Villans have not made a firm decision on the future of Duran, who has also been linked with Al Nassr, if they get an offer of £80 million in the January transfer window, then they could cash in on him.
The Premier League club paid Chicago Fire an initial transfer fee of £14.75 million (BBC Sport) for Duran in January 2023.
This means that Villa, who are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season just like they did in the 2023-24 campaign, are looking to make a profit of £65.25 million on the 21-year-old.
With Villa open to offloading Duran for good, if the striker gets an offer that suits him, then he should leave Villa Park in the January transfer window..
The striker is not guaranteed a place in head coach Unai Emery’s starting lineup, and Villa have also signed 26-year-old Netherlands international forward Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.
With Ollie Watkins the first-choice striker at Villa, Duran is going to fall further behind in the pecking order at Villa Park.
Described as “fantastic” by Emery in beIN SPORTS in August 2024, Duran has made just four starts in the Premier League and only one start in the UEFA Champions League so far this season.
The 21-year-old Colombia international striker has scored 12 goals in 29 matches in all competitions for Villa this campaign.
Last season, Duran found the back of the net eight times in 37 competitive appearances. The youngster made just three starts in the Premier League.
