The internationals who had left FC Barcelona to play with their respective national teams have returned to the Catalan club, and are now preparing for their upcoming match against Celta Vigo at the Balaidos.
However, while these internationals have returned, Hansi Flick still remains without several important players who are currently out with injuries. In addition to the long-term absences like Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Marc Bernal, Ronald Araujo, and Andreas Christensen, Flick will also be without other players like Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati.
Furthermore, another key starter for Flick, Lamine Yamal, is also a doubt for this upcoming game. This situation means the Barcelona coach will have a rather thin attacking line for this game.
Keeping these absences in mind, Flick had called up several players from the Barcelona Atletic team to train under him on Thursday, including Alvaro Cortes, Noah Darvich, Aleix Garrido, David Oduro, and Unai Hernandez.
Now, SPORT reports that one of these players, Unai Hernandez, is once again going to train under Flick today, on Friday, and he is also likely to make it to the squad that will travel to Vigo for the upcoming game. Noah Darvich is also likely to get a call-up by Flick.
Xavi had called up Unai Hernandez several times in the last season, but the 19-year-old midfielder was unable to make a senior team debut. This season, he has been one of the leaders for the Barcelona Atletic team and is comfortable playing both in the midfield and on the wings.
With Raphinha and Lewandowski likely to start against Celta Vigo, Flick will have to make a decision on who plays on the left wing. Both Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez can play in this position, but the German coach will also have the option of playing Hernandez or Darvich in this position. It remains to be seen who gets the nod to start against Celta Vigo.
