The winter transfer window is approaching in a matter of weeks, and FC Barcelona are not expected to make many changes to their squad in this window.

The main task for the Blaugranes in January will be to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with La Liga. But for this purpose, the Catalans still need to generate some cash and space on their wage bill. As things stand, they are quite confident that they will generate the required financial fair play margin to register these two players.

In fact, this situation can also open a door for the arrival of new players, but only if there is not a big investment required in terms of transfer fees.

In such a context, Mundo Deportivo reports that one of the positions that Barcelona can strengthen if they get the required space is that of the left flank, where Hansi Flick only has Alejandro Balde and Gerard Martin as his available first-team players.

For this purpose, the Spanish publication reports that Deco is keeping an eye on the Monaco fullback Caio Henrique, who has been linked with the Catalan club for several years now.

The Barcelona Sporting Director is open to the idea of bringing him on loan with an option to buy, something that is possible for the Blaugranes to pull off despite their financial difficulties.

Henrique has a contract till 2027 with the French side, but he is no longer an automatic starter for the new coach, Adi Hutter, even though he has made 16 appearances this season, 10 in Ligue 1 and another 6 in the UEFA Champions League. Thus, he can look to change teams in January.

His arrival would be quite welcome at Barcelona, as it would provide Hansi Flick with a highly versatile player who can play on the left flank and wing, and also in some central positions.
