La Liga giants Barcelona have positioned themselves at the front of the queue for the signing of yet another African talent.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Amara Diouf as the player in question.
Diouf, for his part, is a gifted 16-year-old attacker, who is currently plying his trade on the books of Generation Foot in his home country of Senegal.
The starlet generally operates out wide, long hailed for his explosiveness and cultured left foot.
Such talents have piqued the attentions of a whole host of clubs across Europe, with Ligue 1 outfit Metz, for one, having until recently felt as though they were in pole position to strike a deal.
As per MD, however, this is no longer the case:
‘Barça have him under control and in Diouf’s country they publish that they are even monitoring the knee injury that has kept him out for a few months.’
Should Diouf ultimately go on to pen terms with Barcelona, which will only be possible upon the winger turning 18, he will join the likes of David Oduro, Abdul Aziz Issah and Ibrahim Diarra in making the move to Catalunya’s capital, amid an ongoing African recruitment drive on the part of Deco and co.
