The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have begun ramping up the pressure on Ansu Fati to depart the club before the month is out.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of attacker Ansu has of course taken its place front and centre in the media chatter in Catalunya’s capital throughout the January transfer window.
This comes with the Spaniard’s ongoing struggles for game-time having culminated in mounting exit links.
Speaking during an exchange with the press over the weekend, Hansi Flick assured that he is more than happy to keep hold of Ansu for the remainder of the campaign:
“I think Ansu Fati wants to stay and that’s ok… he’s improving in training, we will support him”.
But, as alluded to above, if the latest word to have come to the fore on Wednesday is anything to go by, then the reality of the situation is altogether different.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Barca are pressuring (super agent) Jorge Mendes to convince Ansu Fati to leave.’
The Blaugrana appear desperate to farm the 22-year-old out on a fresh loan, to both clear up space on their wage bill, and allow Ansu to rebuild his confidence on the pitch.
