In a positive development, Mundo Deportivo reports that FC Barcelona have secured the remaining €28 million from one of the two investors funding the exploitation rights of the VIP seats at the future Spotify Camp Nou.

With the bank transfer now complete, the club will submit the necessary documentation to La Liga. This should enable the club to operate in the transfer market under the 1:1 rule.

While this development allows Barcelona to participate freely in the transfer market, it does not resolve the status of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

The two players were deregistered on January 1 by La Liga, creating the paradoxical situation where the club can sign new players but cannot yet reinstate Olmo and Victor.

Following the payment defaults of Libero concerning Barça Vision, La Liga implemented stricter financial regulations.

Under these rules, any sale of assets requires the club to have at least 20% of the proceeds in their accounts. If the investing company lacks a verified solvency report, the required upfront payment increases to 40%.

In Barcelona’s case, two separate investors – one from Qatar and another from Dubai – were involved. This necessitated that the club secure 40% of the funds from each operation.

The €28 million that was pending from one investor has now been received, meeting La Liga’s demands.

With these financial prerequisites fulfilled, Barcelona can now shift their focus to bolstering their squad in the ongoing transfer window.

As mentioned, though, it does not guarantee the registration of Olmo and Victor and the club are awaiting a response from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) regarding the reissuing of licenses for the pair. If it fails, the Catalans will again take legal measures.
