A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was spotted in first-team training on Monday.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Jofre Torrents as the player in question.
Torrents, for those not familiar with his name, is an 18-year-old defender, who generally operates at left-back.
The Spaniard has long been considered one of the very best young talents in Catalunya’s capital, with his performances on the books of Barcelona Juvenil A having begun to turn heads across the Spanish football landscape.
Torrents, in turn, was afforded his Barca Atlètic debut over the weekend, featuring off the bench en route to a 1-1 draw with Tarazona.
And his performance evidently proved impressive enough to turn the head of the first-team coaching staff in Barcelona.
As per Sport, Torrents was called up to senior training at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Monday.
With the majority of the Blaugrana’s squad having now departed for international duty, the defender joined the likes of Joan Anaya, Landry, Dacosta, Alexis Olmedo, Ruben López and Eder Aller in being afforded the chance to impress on the senior stage.
