Brighton have announced the signing of highly-rated Bundesliga winger Brajan Gruda from Mainz.
The right flank was an area identified by Fabian Hürzeler and the club’s hierarchy as a priority position to strengthen this summer.

Brighton have now got their top target, with Gruda joining in a deal worth a reported £25m and signing a long-term contract on the south coast.
The 20-year-old is a Germany U21 international and impressed so much last season for Mainz that he was included in Germany’s training squad ahead of the European Championship.
Although Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Leipzig were all credited with an interest in Gruda, none ever submitted a formal bid for his services.
