Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Saturday confirmed some altogether positive personnel news in his squad.

This comes amid confirmation that Dani Ceballos is back available for selection.

Midfielder Ceballos has for his part not taken to the pitch since all the way back in late February, owing to a hamstring injury.

The Spanish international marked his return to training ahead of schedule earlier this week, giving rise to hope of a potential place in Real Madrid’s squad to face Arsenal on Tuesday night.

This ultimately did not prove to be the case, with Ceballos having not been called up to face his former club.

If the latest comments on the part of his manager are anything to go by, however, then the 28-year-old could yet play a prominent role against Mikel Arteta’s troops next time out.

Drawn on Ceballos’ wellbeing during his pre-Alavés press conference on Saturday, Ancelotti confirmed:

“Dani Ceballos? He’s available for tomorrow and for Arsenal.”
