Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted his frustration with two headline members of his squad, on the back of Los Blancos’ downing of Barcelona.

The players in question? Vinícius Jr, and Jude Bellingham.

Both wide-man Vinícius, and midfielder Bellingham, of course played a central role, as Real clinched their first silverware of the campaign courtesy of a comfortable victory in the finale of the Supercopa de España on Sunday night.

The former proved the star of the show by way of a hat-trick, with Bellingham having laid on the assist for his side’s opener, amid another stellar all-round display.

Speaking to the media post-match, the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti was in turn keen to lavish praise on Man of the Match Vinícius:

“He played very well”, the Italian noted, as cited by Forbes, before adding that the Brazilian “needed two or three games to get back to his best.”

From here, however, Ancelotti also made clear his disappointment with both Vinícius, and Jude Bellingham.

This comes after the former, in particular, came in for fresh criticism, for taunting and provoking Barcelona’s players and bench alike.

Real’s headmaster, in turn, pleaded with both members of his squad to avoid such gestures, adamant that such behaviour is not ‘needed’:

“That’s what I’ve told him [Vinícius]. He and Bellingham have done it. Don’t do it, we don’t need it.”
