The American has played a big role in Celtic’s recent successes so it’s great to see her dedicate herself to the club for the foreseeable future.

Kit joined up with the Ghirls in February 2023 and featured in the squad that won the 22/23 Women’s Scottish Cup. She also managed to live every Ghirls’ dream as she managed to get her name on the scoresheet in a 3-1 win over Glasgow City at Paradise.

Continuing on from a strong debut half-campaign, she made her presence known last season with 12 goals to her name when all was said and done. In those 12, a goal on the European stage was included with an equaliser against Vålerenga in the Women’s Champions League.

She’s a player who can clearly perform both domestically and when called upon on the biggest stage, making her a fantastic option to have in the squad. Of course, she is also a pacey player and the SWPL1 runners-up have always seemed to struggle against that. So, in a season which a lot of women’s football supporters predict to be a close one, she could end up being the decisive factor on Glasgow Derby days.

This is the second contract extension of the week after Hana Kerner extended her contract until 2025.
