Chelsea may well be saved by one club who want to try and sign a player from them before the Club World Cup starts in June.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea only managing to draw 2-2 at home with Ipswich Town on Sunday, a team who are destined to be in the Championship again next season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now eyeing 21-year-old attacker from Spain this summer!

One BBC pundit has pinned the blame on the players for the draw on Sunday, saying that they have to take a long hard look at themselves after that poor performance.

And head coach Enzo Maresca has also picked out two of his players for making some mistakes in the game which he believes was not good enough and cost them.

Overall though it was so poor, and blame really must be shared between the head coach, the manager, and those who have built an unbalanced squad at Chelsea that severely lacks quality experience and balance.

And when all this is over, attentions will turn to the summer transfer market and also, the Club World Cup, which Chelsea of course are in as well.

Joao Felix’s former club Benfica could offer him a lifeline and also help Chelsea out this summer by giving them an outlet for Felix.

According to Record in Portugal, Benfica want João Félix on loan, and the goal is for it to be completed by the beginning of June at the latest. Rui Costa would like to be able to count on the forward for the Club World Cup.

Felix will be hard for Chelsea to sell this summer so they might have to make do with a loan move to get some of his wages off the books and also keep him playing to hold his value.
