City’s were narrowly eliminated from last term’s FA Cup at the hands of Spurs in the previous meeting between the sides.
Mary Fowler’s gave the Blues the lead in the capital before Bethany England struck a dramatic, 96th-minute equaliser to send the game to extra-time where the sides couldn’t be separated.
In the resulting penalty shootout Spurs prevailed 4-3 to advance.
However, City won both home and away WSL clashes with the Londoners in 2023/24 – recording a 7-0 triumph at the Joie Stadium and 2-0 victory in the capital.
What’s more, Taylor’s team also beat Tottenham 1-0 away in the Continental Cup last season.
City recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out in what was our 200th WSL assignment.
Goals from Jess Park, Jill Roord and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw were enough to see City extend our unbeaten start to the 2024/25 campaign to ten matches in all competitions.
Tickets are still available to purchase for our Etihad clash against Spurs from just £15.
Kick-off is set for 19:30 (UK) on Friday 8 November as City look to extend our unbeaten start to the season to 11 matches.

Additionally, supporters can secure their seats for the trio of WSL fixtures to be played at the Etihad through the Hat-Trick Pack at a price of £40 for adults and £12 for U16s.
City’s clash at the Etihad with Spurs will be broadcast in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports Premier League.
