Napoli coach Antonio Conte looked concerned by his team’s depth during a Serie A game against Lazio on Saturday when he asked his assistant: ‘Who can I put in?’
Napoli have collected three consecutive draws in Serie A, and if the Nerazzurri beat Juventus away this evening, they will see Inter go to the top of the table.
The Partenopei sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG in the January transfer window and replaced the Georgian with Noah Okafor, who is still getting back in shape.
Furthermore, Mathias Olivera, David Neres and Leonardo Spinazzola suffered injuries in recent weeks, leaving Conte short of options on the left flank.

As reported by Gazzetta and DAZN, Conte expressed concern over Napoli’s depth during a 2-2 draw against Lazio on Saturday when asked his assistant Christian Stellini: ‘Who can I put in?’ (‘Chi posso mettere?’ in Italian).
Conte switched to a three-man defence against Lazio but didn’t hide his frustration for lack of options before the game on Saturday.
“It is very difficult for a coach to work on a system. Since the start of the season, for many reasons, we started with one idea of the 3-4-2-1, then got to the 4-3-3 changing the movements and mechanisms,” he said.
“These changes were to get the best out of the characteristics of the players that the club puts at your disposal. Then for a period we had a sort of 4-2-2-2, until we reached the 4-3-3 with these very wide men that in my view was the right outfit for Napoli.
“Today, that becomes difficult because we are missing players, so clearly we need to not invent something new, but try to find the best outfit for the current side to suit the characteristics of these players.”
