Manchester United’s Scott McTominay is wanted by three Premier League clubs as he remains keen to stay in England, according to a new report.

United hope to raise cash by selling some players before the window closes as they aim to sign at least one more new face to the four they have already added this summer.

McTominay is one of the most likely names to leave and would also generate the healthiest fee for the club, as they are asking around £25-30 million to make a deal happen.

The Scotland international has been heavily linked to a move to Napoli with the Italians now reportedly in a position to “accelerate” a move for him.

It was reported last night however that Fulham had also re-entered talks with the Red Devils over McTominay and are considering making a third bid of the summer to prise him away from Old Trafford.

The Sun now claim that the Cottagers could not only face competition from abroad but also closer to home as Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion are also keen to sign the 27 year old.

The newspaper states “his future is once again totally up in the air with United insiders now widely expecting him to leave in the coming days.”

“SunSport can reveal it has put a trio of Premier League clubs on red alert as to McTominay’s availability.”

Fulham would be prepared to offer him a five year deal while Crystal Palace believe the player “could fit straight into their first team.”

What’s more, in what could be a crucial advantage for the Eagles, it is mentioned that they “have funds to spend after selling players ahead of the start of the season.”

Finally, Brighton are suggested as another possible destination as they are “believed to be huge admirers of the player with midfield an area they are looking to strengthen.”

While it has been reported in Italy that McTominay has agreed personal terms with Napoli and that his agents have put talks with other clubs on hold, it is stated in this report that he is in fact “desperate” to stay in England. If true, it would severely complicate the Serie A side’s attempt to complete a deal.

As United aim to line up a deal to sell the player before the window ends, news of newcomers to the race for the player will only be a positive for the club as it could potentially drive up his final price.

This in turn would allow United more freedom to invest and build on what has already been a pretty successful window so far, if they are left with sufficient time to do so.
