With not much time left before the midnight deadline, FC Barcelona are scrambling to secure the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with La Liga.

The Catalans have submitted all the documentation regarding the €100 million sale of the Spotify Camp Nou VIP boxes to La Liga and are awaiting approval.

However, if not approved in time, Barça risk losing Olmo on a free transfer thanks to a special clause in his contract, although Pau Victor does not have any such clause.

Several top clubs across Europe are closely monitoring the situation as they eye a surprise swoop in January if he becomes available.

Amidst the growing uncertainty surrounding Olmo’s registration, Andy Bara, the Barcelona star’s agent, has issued an update on the situation.

Speaking exclusively to Fabrizio Romano, the Spaniard’s representative said: “The decision made by Dani is to stay at Barcelona as he wants play for Barça.”

Further making the stance clear, Bara added: “We are not considering any other option. Dani wants to play for Barcelona.”

There is still time for the clock to strike midnight and Barcelona are still hoping to get the matter resolved, even as La Liga comb through the documents before granting approval.
