Everton boss Sean Dyche was keen to emphasise high spirits around the Everton camp ahead of Saturdayâs clash with Fulham.
The Toffees currently sit 16th in the table, but have had a recent an upturn in form, with two wins and two draws from their last four Premier League matches.
âQuestions have been asked at both ends of the pitch in the early season, and weâre correcting somewhat with a couple of clean sheets and scoring goals,â Dyche revealed in his pre-match press conference.
âEspecially getting goals from other parts of the pitch, as well. Iâve always said itâs not just strikers. We appreciate we want them to score, but itâs not just them.â
The boss then went on to describe the reasons why thereâs a feeling of optimism around the Finch Farm training ground.
âI donât think weâre overanalysing it. The players feel in the right place. Training was good again today â the feel of the group. Fitness helps, [weâve got] players coming back to full fitness.
âWith all due respect to some of the younger players, itâs not the same as when you look around as a first-team player and you see all the depth when it is there. We havenât got a huge squad, but the depth when everyoneâs fit and then [it brings] that competitive element.
âI think all of those things go into it, but I think thereâs certainly a good feel around the group at the moment.â
Everton take on the Cottagers at Goodison Park looking to make it five games unbeaten.
