Real Madrid starlet Endrick has on Wednesday night etched his name into the history books of the Spanish giants.
As much comes by way of his starting berth in Real’s latest outing.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are primed to return to action in short order, having made the trip to France for a Champions League showdown with LOSC Lille.
Amid a hectic run of fixtures heading into the international break, Los Blancos’ coaching staff have opted for a couple of changes in the club’s line-up for the clash.
Eduardo Camavinga, for one, is reintroduced in the middle of the park.
And also in from the off on Wednesday night will be the aforementioned Endrick.
With Kylian Mbappé only considered fit enough for the bench, youngster Endrick has been afforded his first-ever start in Real colours against Lille.
And, in the process, the Brazilian international has made history.
As per statisticians Opta:
‘Aged 18 years and 73 days, Endrick becomes the youngest Real Madrid player to start a game in the Champions League, surpassing the record set by Raúl González in September 1995 vs Ajax (18y 78d).’
