It was the final matchday of Group B with Denmark facing Spain for the right to play England in the quarter-finals while Germany took on Finland.
Hereâs what went down.
Scorers: Cardona 90â˛.
Spain have set up a quarter-final clash with England after progressing in second place after a tense encounter in Brentford.
The Spanish were frustrated with their own output throughout the majority of the game, dominating possession but failing to find a breakthrough.
Jorge Vildaâs side came closest of either side to breaking the deadlock at the end of the first half when Irene Paredesâ header from a corner beat Lene Christensen in goal but was cleared off the line by Simone Boye.
It wasnât until the 90th minute that Spain sealed the victory with Marta Cardona heading home from Olga Carmonaâs cross to book their place in the last eight.
Scorers: Kleinherne 40â˛, Popp 48â˛, Anyomi 63â˛.
An impressive Germany sealed first place and will meet Austria in the quarters after comfortably beating Finland.
A well-worked move five minutes before the break led to Giulia Gwinnâs chipped cross being headed home by Sophia Kleinherne.
It was 2-0 just after half-time, this time it was Alexandra Popp who headed in Kathrin Hendrichâs cross, with the 31-year-old having become the first German international to have scored in every game of a Euros group stage.
Finland then failed to clear another cross into the box with the ball falling to Nicole Anyomi 14 yards out who placed into the bottom corner to add some gloss to the scoreline midway through the second half.
