Red Devils and Rangers win while Spurs held to draw
Manchester United are making inroads in the Europa League table.
After a dreadful start to the competition having drawn their first three games, United have responded with two consecutive victories, the most recent of which came in Ruben Amorim’s first home game in charge of the club.
Rasmus Hojlund bagged a brace as the Red Devils edged past Bodo/Glimt in a 3-2 thriller at Old Trafford.
Thursday night, however, proved disappointing for Tottenham. Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw by crisis club AS Roma, with Mats Hummels scoring in the final minute to deny Ange Postecoglou’s side. Having won their opening three games, Spurs are now without a win in their last two.
Rangers, meanwhile, enjoyed a fantastic evening in the south of France by storming to a 4-1 win over Nice.
Lazio lead the way in the Europa League table but are level on points with Athletic Bilbao and Eintracht Frankfurt.
